Preserving The Past For Our Future

Discover White County

The White County Historical Society was founded in 1965 to preserve the Historic Courthouse, which was built in 1859-1862, and is overseen by a 12-member board of directors. Over the past 60 years we have grown to a multi-faceted Society with the Mission of the Preservation and Recording of Historical Places and Events in White County, GA. We urge you to visit the Historic Courthouse Museum, along with the research room and gift shop located on the square of Cleveland, GA. We are open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Wednesday - Saturday.
